Angela Sun

Angela Sun was born in Santa Clara County, California on October 19, 1979. She is an American journalist and sportscaster. She is also a documentary film maker and TV presenter. She earned her degree in Sociology and Communication at the University of California. Sun's surfing abilities were exceptional and she took part in several pro-am competitions. Sun received sponsorship from major brands like Roxy Reef Billabong Vans. It was the fame that she earned from participating in these events which led Sun to the world of entertainment. In the following years, she was an actress, sportscaster, investigative reporter, as well as film director. Sun has worked for many news networks, mostly as anchor. Sun was employed by Fox Sports Net as a reporter in 2003. She was host of American Ninja Warrior along with Matt Iseman in 2012. In 2014, Sun hosted The Yahoo Sports Minute. She is the only Asian-American who has ever appeared as a host on ESPN Fox Sports Yahoo Sports Tennis Channel. Sun has appeared in a variety of movies and received recognition and praise for her acting prowess. She's worked in films like Goliath (2016, Hit the Floor 2014-2016), A Perfect Getaway 2009), Shackled 2005 Street Kings 2008 and Glowsticks and Drumsticks 2004. Sun's 2014 feature length document Platic Paradise The Great Pacific Garbage Patch was a movie that focused on the impact of plastic pollution on the oceans. She created, wrote and directed it herself.
